Biography:
Dan is a Marquette lawyer (1990), and a Milwaukee native who has practiced with both Legal Action of Wisconsin and the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, with a primary focus on consumer credit class action litigation. After law school, Dan joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, and worked with the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund in southeastern Kentucky. Prior to joining Marquette, Dan spent eight years as the Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of La Crosse, a social service agency in western Wisconsin.
As Assistant Dean for Public Service, Dan provides overall guidance to the Law School for University mission integration, community outreach, volunteer service, and an academic focus on public interest law. Dan is responsible to develop and enhance pro bono and service opportunities for law students, faculty, and alumni, promote public service career opportunities, and engage the Law School in efforts on behalf of the common good.
In addition to his Marquette law degree, Dan holds a Master's Degree in Theology from St. John's University (Minnesota) and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He is married and has two children: Joshua and Eliana.
