The VITA program offers free tax help to elderly, low- to moderate-income ($50,000 and below) people and nonresident aliens. The Internal Revenue Service started the VITA program approximately 35 years ago. Its mission is to offer free assistance to people who cannot afford professional assistance. VITA sites are established at community and neighborhood centers, schools and other convenient locations.
Hours
The Marquette VITA site will be open every Saturday beginning January 30th through April 10th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The site will be closed on April 3rd. The site will be open by appointment on Fridays from 10:00 - 12:00 for nonresident aliens only. To schedule an appointment, contact Beverly at 288-7094. The sessions on Saturdays are open to everyone, including nonresident aliens.
