About us
The Marquette Law School Media & Technology Group supports the Law School community in using audio/visual aids and other technology (e.g., computer software) for teaching and/or research. The purpose of the Media and Technology Group is to provide technical support to the students, faculty and staff of Marquette University Law School. This support includes hardware and software installation, problem resolution, training coordination, and myriad informational services.

Software Support
The Marquette Law School Media & Technology Group has created a number of handouts and videos to assist people using software. These brief guides are available for download or online viewing. Index of software support

Securexam
Students enrolled in selected courses will have the opportunity to use their own computers to write examinations. To participate, student laptops must meet the minimum requirements, Securexam must be installled and students must certify that they have sucessfully taken a practice exam. Student Computing
The Media and Technology Group maintains and supports the Student Computers & Labs located in the Law School. Although Marquette does not have a student laptop requirement, we do have a guide to Purchasing a Computer. This guide includes system specifications as well as links to vendors with discounts available to Marquette students. Please look at our Services to Law Students page for more detailed information.

Faculty and Staff Computing
The Marquette University Law School offers a variety of services, equipment, and support to faculty and staff. The Media and Technology Group provides website design, development, and maintenance; assistance with pedagogical approaches to instructional technology; support for classroom equipment; and support for all forms of multimedia technology, including videotaping of classes, videoconferencing, webcasting, and video editing and production. Instructional Technology
The Media and Technology Group supports instructional technology in the Law School. The classrooms of Sensenbrenner Hall and the Law Library are equiped with multimedia presentation equipment. We also have portable equipment (laptop, digital still camera, digital video camcorder, and audio recorder) as well duplication and web services. Study rooms equipped with multimedia are available in the Law Library.

Software & Computer Support
Marquette University and the Law School make a variety of software available to students, faculty, and staff at no charge. Support for these applications is available from the Media and Technology Group. We provide application training and documentation. Our presentations and support documents can be found here.
