Long-term care is an issue that affects many of us, either directly or indirectly, and the issue of long-term care financing is increasingly becoming the focus of national debate. The Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 further complicated the issue, as it instituted controversial changes to government assistance in nursing home and home care payments particularly affecting chronically disabled elders of modest means.
The Marquette Elder's Advisor is hosting a Symposium on Thursday, March 29, 2007 to examine this timely and important topic. The event, titled Elder Care SNAFU? Long-term care after the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, will feature four speakers who are experts in elder law and long-term care who will present papers at the symposium critiquing and analyzing the DRA. Additionally, panelists will react to the presentations and discuss the challenges posed by the DRA in Wisconsin and other states.
Practicing elder law or estate planning attorneys, long-term care facility administrators, law students, law professors, and anyone interested in long-term care policy are encouraged to attend.
The conference has been approved for 6 CLE credits.
Complete Details including registration and schedule can be found on the Symposium website.
