I am delighted to announce that we have taken our skills in mediation to a new level! This past weekend, the International Chamber of Commerce hosted their first annual International Commercial Mediation competition, held in Paris, France. This competition was based, in part, on the ABA Representation in Mediation competition in which we have historically excelled. Schools from the US and all over the world competed to demonstrate their skills in representing their clients in front of international judges & mediators.
Our team of Mike Rust and Ben Qualley, wonderfully coached by Adjunct Professor Moira Kelly, placed third in the world! This team, you might recall, won the regional ABA competition and advanced to the semi-finals at the national ABA competition last year. We are very proud that they can now add another title to their list of accomplishments. Please join me in congratulating them on their achievement. Also, much thanks to the numerous alumni and current students who helped with practice rounds. Go team!
