What is the Marquette University Law School Legal Studies Research Paper Series?
Available at http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/JELJOUR_Results.cfm?form_name=journalbrowse&journal_id=881737 and via the Law School's homepage (http://law.marquette.edu/), the Marquette University Law School Legal Studies Research Paper Series is a collection of working research papers and recent articles written and published by the Marquette University Law School faculty. In the future, student-authored papers may be added to the Series.
The Marquette University Law School Legal Studies Research Paper Series is available on the Social Science Research Network, better known as SSRN (www.ssrn.com), an online initiative devoted to disseminating working research papers and abstracts in law and the social sciences. Papers in the Marquette University Law School Legal Studies Research Paper Series are distributed in electronic journals via email, and are downloadable free of charge via the Series homepage.
SSRN has emerged as a primary database for scholars to share works-in-progress and as an important measure of scholarly productivity for law school faculties. See Symposium, The Next Generation of Law School Rankings, INDIANA LAW JOURNAL, Vol. 81, Issue 1 (Winter 2006). As of July 2006, Marquette University Law School is ranked #16 among American law schools in total downloads-per-paper.
The Faculty Editor of the Marquette University Law School Legal Studies Research Paper Series is Professor Chad Oldfather. Please contact him at chad.oldfather@marquette.edu with any questions.
