On the Issues: U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin

DESCRIPTION

This will be Senator Baldwin’s first visit to the Law School since her election in November of 2012. A Democrat from Madison, she is the first woman from Wisconsin to serve in the U.S. Senate and the first openly gay member elected to the Senate. Prior to her victory, Baldwin represented Wisconsin’s Second Congressional District. She is also a former state lawmaker. Senator Baldwin will offer her perspective on a range of issues, including the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, immigration reform, the national debt, the minimum wage, and Washington’s political divide.
