Join us in Eckstein Hall’s Appellate Courtroom for the final round of the Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competition. Twenty-two upper-level Marquette law students, having achieved top scores in the Appellate Writing and Advocacy course last semester, elected to participate in this internal moot court competition. In teams of two, they have engaged in both briefing and preliminary oral arguments.

On Tuesday, March 31, the remaining two teams will appear in the final round. Whether you are a first-year student wanting to get a sense of some of the possibilities ahead, an upper-level student interested in (silently) cheering on your colleagues, or a faculty member or friend of the Law School wanting to support our students, you will be most welcome.

The following judges have generously agreed to preside at the Jenkins Honors Moot Court Finals:

Hon. Albert Diaz, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit

Hon. Pamela Pepper, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin

Hon. Timothy Greeley, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Michigan.

Arguments start promptly at 6 p.m. We ask you to be in the courtroom no later than 5:45 p.m. After the arguments and the announcement of the winning team by the judges in the Appellate Courtroom, a reception follows in the Zilber Forum.
