Graduation weekend is getting closer. Watch this site in the weeks ahead as we provide updated and detailed information about all events involved with graduation. Please note the following times, dates, and locations of the University Baccalaureate Mass, the Law School Hooding Ceremony, and the all-University Commencement Ceremony
All-University Baccalaureate Mass; Saturday, May 18 (4:30 - 6:00 p.m.)
- Mass will be celebrated at the U.S. Cellular Arena, 400 W. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee. The U.S. Cellular Arena is adjacent to the Milwaukee Theatre.
- Attendance is optional.
- Academic apparel is not worn.
- There is no limit to the number of guests a student may bring to Mass.
- Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Law School Hooding Ceremony; Saturday, May 18 (6:45 -9:15 p.m.) LAST MINUTE DETAILS HERE
- The Law School Hooding Ceremony will take place at the Milwaukee Theatre, 500 W. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee beginning at 6:45 p.m. Graduates and faculty must arrive no later than 6:15 p.m. to be lined up for the processional. The Hooding Ceremony will be followed by a reception in the spacious lobby of the theatre. The ceremony itself should end close to 8:30 p.m.; the reception will end close to 9:15 p.m.
- Law graduates are recognized individually and receive their academic hood onstage and diploma cover from the Dean. A professional photographer is at the ceremony to photograph each graduate as he or she receives the diploma cover.
- Attendance is strongly encouraged. Indeed, we expect that all students and guests would want to attend and participate in this event.
- Academic apparel is worn.
- Graduates may bring up to 15 guests to the ceremony. However, there will be a charge for guests over the number 8 who attend the reception. ($10 per person for guests 12 years of age and older) There is no charge to attend only the ceremony.
- Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There are no tickets for the ceremony--we trust that our graduates submit an accurate guest count via the RSVP form.
- The catered reception in the lobby of the Milwaukee Theatre following the hooding ceremony is optional but provides great photo opportunities for graduates and their guests. It also gives everyone in attendance a chance to celebrate together.
- Accommodations can be made for guests with special needs (wheelchair accessible seating, close access to restroom facilities, aisle seating, etc.) Please contact your family/friends to determine if any of your guests will require special seating. Contact Carol Dufek via email or at 414-288-6452 by April 19 to request special needs seating.

All-University Commencement Ceremony; Sunday, May 19 (9:30 - 11:30 a.m.)
- The All-University Commencement Ceremony will be held at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N. Fourth Street, Milwaukee
- Law graduates will be seated as a group and recognized as a group.
- Attendance is mandatory by University directive. Permission to be exempt from attendance at the all-University Commencement Ceremony must be made in writing (email) to Jane Casper, Assistant Dean for Students.
- Academic apparel is worn.
- Graduates may bring an unlimited number of guests.
- Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Law School diplomas will be distributed to May graduates at the Bradley Center immediately after the commencement ceremony.
- Graduates will return their academic apparel at the Bradley Center when they pick up their diploma.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Group Swearing-In Ceremonies: Monday, May 20, 2013, 8:30 a.m.
The group admission ceremonies for eligible diploma privilege candidates will be held in Madison at the Capitol Building, in the Wisconsin Supreme Court Hearing Room, on Monday, May 20, 2013. The six ceremonies are scheduled as follows:
- 8:30 a.m., A - C
- 9:30 a.m., D - Ha
- 10:30 a.m., He - K
- 11:30 a.m., L - M
- 2:00 p.m., N - Sm
- 3:00 p.m., Sn - Z
You will receive specific notification from the Board of Bar Examiners (BBE) if you are eligible, and in which group you are scheduled.

Eastern District of Wisconsin Group Swearing-In Ceremony: Tuesday, May 21, 2013, 9:00 a.m.
The ceremony for eligible candidates is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., before The Hon. William C. Griesbach. The ceremony will take place at the United States Courthouse, 517 East Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the Ceremonial Courtroom, Room 390.
