Welcome to Student Services at Marquette University Law School

The Office of Student Services at the Law School provides academic and personal support to law students through counseling, programming, and other resources.  Dean Thomson, Dean Rogan-Mehta, and Director Fodor provide personal and academic counseling to students and can provide referrals to additional campus resources as well.

Bonnie M. Thomson

Associate Dean for Administration and Registrar

Dean Thomson oversees student registration and records and serves as the Law School liaison to the University Office of the Registrar.  With the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, she coordinates delivery of the curriculum and course scheduling.   In addition, Dean Thomson is responsible for the following areas of student life at the Law School:

Amy Rogan-Mehta

Associate Dean for Student Development

Dean Rogan-Mehta oversees student services and affairs at the Law School and works to support students' academic and professional development. She administers the Academic Success Program and the Supplemental Success Program. Dean Rogan-Mehta is also responsible for the following areas of student life and Law School programs and events:

  • Individual academic counseling 
  • Advising students on course selection and other co-curricular concerns
  • Crisis intervention
  • Law School liaison to Marquette's Title IX coordinator and deputies
  • Referrals to Law School, University, and community resources
  • New student orientation
  • Law News and Events weekly announcements 
  • Ralph J. Huiras Law School Citizen Award selection process

Anna Fodor

Director of Student Affairs

Director Fodor oversees the Law School's student-run organizations and provides support services to students. She is also a member of the Academic Success Program team and meets with students to discuss academic questions and concerns. Director Fodor is responsible for the following areas of student life and Law School programs and events:

  • Individual academic counseling
  • Advising on a number of academic and co-curricular concerns, including stress and time management
  • Crisis intervention
  • Referrals to Law School, University, and community resources
  • Law School Hooding Ceremony
  • Law student participation in the all-University commencement program
  • Friends, Family, Parents, and Partners event

Kathleen Pagel

Assistant Director of Academic Success and Bar Preparation and Adjunct Associate Professor of Law

Professor Pagel coordinates the Law School's Bar Preparation Program for students who plan to take an out-of-state bar examination after graduation.  She teaches Bar Essay Writing and provides counseling to students preparing to take a bar examination.  She is also involved in the Law School's Academic Success Program and meets with students to discuss academic questions and concerns.

Stephanie Danz

Assistant Registrar and Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

In addition to providing support to Dean Thomson, Ms. Danz manages the student records for the law school, and is also responsible for the following areas of student service:

Erin Chuzles

Student Services Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to Student Services

Ms. Chuzles oversees the Law School’s Student Services front desk in Room 238.  Ms. Chuzles also works with Director Fodor and Dean Rogan-Mehta to administer student organizations and to coordinate the Law School Hooding Ceremony and new student orientation.  Ms. Chuzles is also responsible for the following areas of student life:

  • Student employment and EmpCenter approvals
  • Law News and Events weekly announcements
  • Assistance with special examinations
  • Anonymous exam numbers
  • Student correspondence (Letters of Good Standing, Application Amendments)
  • Parking permit distribution
