I’m Building the New Marquette University Law School.

Patricia McGowanDon McNamara, L’61, and Rob McNamara, L’86, have a request of all Marquette lawyers:

Please participate in the campaign to build Eckstein Hall.

“In whatever I’ve done,” says Rob, “my Marquette law degree has helped me deal with issues, anticipate problems, think critically, and build effective solutions. Perhaps my career in business reflects what I’m about to say, but we — alumni — are the Law School’s product. And obvious biases aside, I think we’re a great product. I have no doubts: I wouldn’t be where I am today without Marquette Law School.”

What does this have to do with the construction of Eckstein Hall?

“Simply put, Sensenbrenner Hall is unable to meet the needs of legal education in the 21st century,” Don explains. “If our future peers — new Marquette lawyers — are going to be the ‘quality product’ we have been, it’s going to take the facility Eckstein Hall promises to be. It will make the Law School more competitive in recruiting and retaining world-class students and faculty, and it will contribute to the success of the community in the process.”

“Anyone who earned a degree here should feel responsible for the continued quality of the Law
School,” Don adds. “I’ve made by far my largest contribution because of the unique opportunity the building of Eckstein Hall presents. This is our legacy; it’s an historic time to give back.”

“That’s why we are helping to build the new Marquette University Law School. Please join us.

Don McNamara, L’61, and Rob McNamara, L’86
