For more than a century, Marquette University Law School and Northwestern Mutual have shared a Milwaukee home.
In evidence of its ongoing commitments to education and its home city, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation has awarded its neighbor a $1 million grant toward the building of Eckstein Hall.
The Law School gift was part of a series of donations the Northwestern Mutual Foundation announced to educational non-profit organizations in the Milwaukee area, including the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee and Junior Achievement of Wisconsin.
“Milwaukee has been home to Northwestern Mutual for more than 150 years, and we understand the value of investing in its future,” said Ed Zore, president and CEO of Northwestern Mutual. “We believe that the place to start is with education, which is vital to the strength and stability of this community, and these organizations are poised to make a real difference in the future of Milwaukee.”
