The Trial Courtroom will serve as a 1,964 square-foot, amphitheater-style legal laboratory. From hands-on legal practice to observation and constructive critique, applied learning is the focus of this space, which is every bit as necessary as a lecture hall or classroom.
In addition to providing our students the opportunity to practice for the “real world” of law, the Trial Courtroom will imitate an actual court setting by featuring technology on a par with that used in federal courtrooms. Group study areas for break-out space will be located on each side of the Trial Courtroom entrance, completing the resources of this specialized learning environment.
The Trial Courtroom will be quintessential for preparing proficient, ethical legal professionals—“Marquette Lawyers”—which will be fundamental to the work in Eckstein Hall.
