We are building a great law school, and Ray and Kay Eckstein Hall will be the building necessary to house it.
Check out these additional unique features:
Ours will be the first such law school library in the nation. With the library located on all four levels of Eckstein Hall, students can go from classrooms while faculty members leave their offices to access library services and materials—without changing floors or passing through a security barrier.

Reading and contemplation: these activities go hand-in-hand, reflecting the very essence of legal study. As purposeful as they are, so is the design of Eckstein Hall’s Great Reading Room, which will inspire students and faculty to immerse themselves in the traditions of the law.

A hallmark of the “Marquette Lawyer” is the ability to transfer legal theory and ethical principles learned in the classroom to practical use. The Trial Courtroom will provide an authentic environment to train our students in courtroom procedures.

One of the most dominant features of Eckstein Hall will be the Zilber Forum, a four-story crossroads providing easy access to all parts of the building. A spacious gathering and meeting space, the Forum will feature a large digital screen displaying information and events, and a layout designed to create frequent encounters between students and faculty. All aspects of the program will revolve around the Forum—research, teaching, dining, conferencing—all of the vibrant life that defines a great law school.
