The Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Society is one of the largest and most active student organizations at Marquette University Law School. Our mission is to support and promote the use of alternative dispute resolution within the law school, the legal community and the greater community. We host events and activities in four key areas:
Speakers: ADR Society hosts interactive forums with dispute resolution professionals who share their experience as practioners and scholars. We are always looking for speaker recommendations!
Skills: Through national competition and hands-on trainings, ADR Society helps students develop conflict resolution skills. Through ADR Society's support Marquette students have become nationally recognized as outstanding negotiators and advocates in mediation.
Scholarship: The classroom is key to our efforts to promote the exploration of emerging issues in conflict resolution. ADR Society helps students learn about coursework, the graduate certificate in dispute resolution and keeps students up-to-date on dispute resolution writing competitions.
Outreach and Member Events: ADR Society looks beyond Marquette University to help students connect with the professional community. Exciting opportunities include networking events and attending state and national conferences. We also have fun! ADR Society sponsors members only social events at great venues around Milwaukee.
