I'd like to thank you for your continued interest in and commitment to Marquette University Law School.
As many of you already know, we're marking an exciting turning point in our school's history. Thanks to an extraordinarily generous donation from two Marquette alumni, Ray and Kay Eckstein, our wishes for a new law school building will soon become a reality.
Let their example be our inspiration.
As the new Law Alumni Board President, I invite you to join us in furthering the school's mission by promoting excellence, faith, leadership, and service. If we can use these qualities to guide our lives and careers, I'm sure we'll give the Ecksteins' donation even greater momentum.
I'd also like to ask you to join us in serving as ambassadors of the school by recruiting, mentoring, and advising prospective law students and new graduates. I'm sure that most of us can recall the special people who went out of their way to inspire and motivate us. Now it is our turn to carry on the tradition.
As law alumni, we are also asked to take on greater leadership roles within our communities and other worthwhile organizations. By graciously sharing our legal counsel and personal advice, we will no doubt motivate others to follow our examples.
Finally, it's my personal goal as alumni board president to foster closer communication and relationships among all law alumni, so we can celebrate each other's success and be there for those who need our support.
