High School Mock Trial Tournament Seeking Law Student Volunteers

In a joint partnership between three high schools, Hmong American Peace Academy, Tenor, and Veritas, and with support from the Milwaukee County Courthouse, legal professionals and law students are needed to volunteer from approximately 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, for a Mock Trial tournament at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Six Mock Trial teams will be competing. This competition is a pivotal moment in the students' legal education, and we would be thrilled if you would help support their growth.

Approximately one to two dozen volunteers are needed to act as jurors in the Mock Trial competition. "Jurors" will score competitors using a scoring sheet. Anyone with knowledge about courtroom advocacy (ex. attorney, paralegal, legal assistance, law school student) would be qualified for this position. After the competition is completed, scores will be tallied, and a winner will be determined.

If you would be willing to volunteer this year as a juror or have additional questions, please reach out to Joe Boeck, social studies department teacher leader, Hmong American Peace Academy.
