OSW E-board Elections

The Organization for Student Well-Being (OSW) is accepting applications for executive board members for the 2024-2025 academic year!

The available positions are as follows:

  • President: Coordinate meetings, delegate responsibilities, plan and oversee events.
  • Vice President: Update Constitution, manage and maintain distribution list, fill-in for President when needed.
  • Secretary: Take notes at meetings, send event invitation to students and post on LawNews.
  • Treasurer: Collect all dues and money, allocate budget, and file reimbursement forms.
  • Events Coordinator: Secure approval of events, serve as primary communication for events and opportunities.

If you are interested in applying, please submit a short statement of interest (approx. 1-2 paragraphs) to Kat Clancy (kaitlin.clancy@marquette.edu) and Erica Walburg (erica.walburg@marquette.edu).

Please include the position(s) you are applying for, and submit no later than Tuesday, April 2, at 7:00 p.m.

PALS E-board Elections

The Part-time Law Students organization will be holding elections to determine the following 2024-2025 e-board positions.

  • President
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Parliamentarian

Per the PALS Constitution, priority for each position will be given to a part-time student over a full-time student, but full-time students are eligible to hold an e-board position if there were no part-time student candidates. We will be using ranked-choice voting, so please feel free to run for multiple positions.

If you are interested in running for one or more of the board positions, please email jacob.dalton@marquette.edu the following information before 5:00 p.m. on March 29, 2024.

  • Which position(s) you are interested in running for.
  • If running for more than one, rank your preference for each position.
  • Whether you will be part-time or full-time status for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Voting will be online and will open on April 3, 2024, and close on April 5, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

FGP E-board Applications Now Open

The First Generation Professionals (FGP) are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 executive board. Applications are due on Monday, April 1, by 11:59 p.m. via an emailed statement of interest to Emily KehlThe statement of interest must include the following: the position you are running for and why you would be a good fit for that position. If you are running for more than one position, please provide a statement of interest for each position you are applying for and submit them all in the same email.

The following are the positions open for election:

  • President
    • Oversees the organizaiton; runs e-board meetings; delegates tasks to board members; works with other members to provide events and activities for the organization.
  • Vice President
    • Assists the President with the above-listed tasks.
  • Secretary
    • Contacts the organization via email; takes notes during e-board meetings; and any additional tasks that may need to be delegated.
  • Treasurer
    • Collects dues; ensures expenses are reimbursed; generally oversees the finances; and any additional tasks that may need to be delegated.
  • Communications Chair
    • Manages the social media accounts; creates fliers and advertisements; and any other tasks regarding communications and media relations.
  • 2L Representative
    • Represents the 2L class on the e-board; ensures that the 2L class is updated about events; and any other tasks that may need to be delegated.
  • 3L Representative
    • Represents the 3L class on the e-board; ensures that the 3L class is updated about events; and any other tasks that may need to be delegated

No previous e-board experience is required to run for any of these positions.

FGP Networking Mixer

Tuesday, April 2, 2024 - 7:00pm Tory Hill Cafe

First Generation Professionals are hosting a Networking Mixer on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. in Tory Hill Cafe. Students will have the opportunity to network with attorneys who represent plaintiffs, corporations, the government as well as current and former judges.
