DESCRIPTION:

The Black Law Student Association and the Association for Women Lawyers are hosting their annual Canned Immunity canned food drive this year from November 12-16. Last year, Canned Immunity helped raise over 2,000 lbs. of food, and this year’s goal is 2,500 lbs. All of the food is donated to Hunger Task Force, which provides aid and support to Milwaukee families in need. This year, Hunger Task Force is stressing the donation of low-sodium, non-perishable canned goods--specifically green beans and corn

Please see the professors who will be participating below. Some provide students with “immunity” from being on-call in exchange for canned goods that the students donate. Others make it more of a competition, so a student is immune only if he/she brings in more food than other students. Volunteers from our student organizations will advertise class participation and coordinate pickups of donated items directly after each class.

If you have any questions, please email Marnae.Mawdsley@marquette.edu or Mikal.Roberson@Marquette.edu. Thank you in advance for your support.
