Marquette Law School Poll with Charles Franklin and Mike Gousha

The June poll results will focus on reaction to the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May and the subsequent protests across the nation. The survey asks about police use of force in general and specifically the deaths of Black Americans in encounters with the police. Support for restructuring the role of the police and for defunding the police is also measured.

The poll continues to monitor the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on respondents’ jobs and financial situations, and their comfort with returning to a variety of activities, including the reopening of schools in the fall.

The survey tracks the presidential race between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, along with measures of how voters see each candidate and how they assess Trump’s job performance across several issues.

12:15 to 12:35 p.m.: Watch the taped podcast discussion. You will need to click on the words “Watch Now” on this website, anytime beginning at 12:15 p.m. on June 24.  The entire poll results will be posted on the Marquette Law School Poll website at 12:30 p.m. following the discussion.

We miss seeing everyone and look forward to welcoming you back to the Lubar Center at Marquette Law School for in-person events when things start to return to normal. Until then, we plan to produce online programming to help keep important discussions moving forward in our community.
