Katie Kegel is an Assistant State Public Defender with the Waukesha Trial office. In addition to her regular casework, Attorney Kegel is a member of the Waukesha County Drug and Alcohol Treatment Court staffing teams, a trial skills and new lawyer trainer for the Wisconsin State Public Defender, intern coordinator, and member of Waukesha County's evidence based decision making (EBDM) committee.  She was recognized as a 2014 Up & Coming Lawyer by the Wisconsin Law Journal and a graduate of the Wisconsin Bar Association's inaugural class of the G. Lane Ware Leadership Academy. Katie is a 2011 graduate of Marquette University Law School and became adjunct faculty for the Street Law program in 2015.
