{"id":26111,"date":"2017-01-02T17:41:33","date_gmt":"2017-01-02T22:41:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/?p=26111"},"modified":"2017-01-02T17:41:33","modified_gmt":"2017-01-02T22:41:33","slug":"new-bloggers-start-off-the-new-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/2017\/01\/new-bloggers-start-off-the-new-year\/","title":{"rendered":"New Bloggers Start Off the New Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are happy to welcome our two guest bloggers for the month of January.<\/p>\n<p>Our Alumni Blogger of the month is Rebeca Lopez.\u00a0 Rebeca is an associate at\u00a0Godfrey &amp; Kahn in Milwaukee, where she is a member of the\u00a0Labor, Employment &amp; Immigration Law Practice Group.\u00a0 Her work involves\u00a0a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including\u00a0wage and hour claims, employment discrimination, and conducting internal investigations involving employees.\u00a0Rebeca also assists clients with drafting and enforcing employment policies and agreements.<\/p>\n<p>Rebeca graduated <em>magna cum laude<\/em> from Marquette University Law School. While in law school, Rebeca served as Business Editor of the <em>Marquette Law Review<\/em> and interned in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin for Judge Lynn S. Adelman.\u00a0Prior to law school, Rebeca was a Regional Coordinator and an Office Manager for a United States Senator.<\/p>\n<p>Our Student Blogger for the month of January is Laura Mikeworth.\u00a0\u00a0 Laura is a 3L at Marquette Law School and a graduate of Marquette\u2019s School of Arts and Sciences. \u00a0She currently serves as an Articles Editor on the Marquette Law Review, as well as a student leader for Marquette Law School\u2019s Academic Success Program. \u00a0After graduation, Laura will be joining Foley &amp; Larder LLP in their Milwaukee office.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are happy to welcome our two guest bloggers for the month of January.
