air, I thought the following poem from Emily Dickinson might help us mark the welcome change of seasons.\u00a0 However, Dickinson also provides a cautionary note.\u00a0 The spectacular inspires us, but it also slips by.\u00a0 Spring not only arrives but also departs.\u00a0 Our resulting sense of loss is like \u201cTrade\u201d encroaching \u201cupon a Sacrament.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>A Light Exists in Spring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Emily Dickinson (1830-86)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A light exists in spring<\/p>\n<p>Not present on the year<\/p>\n<p>At any other period.<\/p>\n<p>When March is scarcely here<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A color stands abroad<\/p>\n<p>On solitary hills<\/p>\n<p>That science cannot overtake,<\/p>\n<p>But human naturefeels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It waits upon the lawn;<\/p>\n<p>It shows the furthest tree<\/p>\n<p>Upon the furthest slope we know;<\/p>\n<p>It almost speaks to me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then, as horizons step,<\/p>\n<p>Or noons report away,<\/p>\n<p>Without the formula of sound,<\/p>\n<p>It passes, and we stay:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A quality of loss<\/p>\n<p>Affecting our content,<\/p>\n<p>As trade had suddenly encroached<\/p>\n<p>Upon a
