{"id":28360,"date":"2019-04-06T17:08:35","date_gmt":"2019-04-06T22:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/?p=28360"},"modified":"2019-04-06T17:08:35","modified_gmt":"2019-04-06T22:08:35","slug":"jenkins-honors-moot-court-competitors-advance-to-semifinals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/2019\/04\/jenkins-honors-moot-court-competitors-advance-to-semifinals\/","title":{"rendered":"Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competitors Advance to Semifinals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to the students in the Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competition who have moved on to the\u00a0semifinal round of the competition.\u00a0The students will be competing tomorrow, Sunday, April 7\u00a0at 10 a.m. to determine which two teams will be advancing to the final round on Thursday, April 11, at 5:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The following teams will be competing in the semifinals:<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas Wanic and Luis Gutierrez<\/p>\n<p>Julie Leary and Elizabeth Elving<\/p>\n<p>Brooke Erickson and Micaela Haggenjos<\/p>\n<p>Cole Dunn and Peter Klepacz<\/p>\n<p>The final round of the Jenkins competition will take place on Thursday, April 11, at 5:15 p.m. in the Lubar Center. The final round will be judged by The Honorable Charles Wilson (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit), The Honorable Daniel Kelly (Wisconsin Supreme Court), and The Honorable Lisa Stark (Wisconsin Court of Appeals).<\/p>\n<p>The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. You can register with this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/prospective-students\/jenkins-final-round\">on-line registration link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to <a href=\"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/2018\/12\/30\/moot-court-association-names-participants-in-the-2019-jenkins-honors-moot-court-competition\/\">all the participants<\/a> in the competition.\u00a0Thank you also to all the alumni and other attorneys and judges who volunteered to grade briefs and serve as judges in the four preliminary rounds and in the quarterfinal
