{"id":29565,"date":"2021-03-22T09:35:07","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T14:35:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/?p=29565"},"modified":"2021-03-22T09:35:07","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T14:35:07","slug":"jenkins-honors-moot-court-competitors-advance-to-quarterfinals-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/2021\/03\/jenkins-honors-moot-court-competitors-advance-to-quarterfinals-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competitors Advance to Quarterfinals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to the students in the Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competition who have moved on to the\u00a0quarterfinal round of the competition.\u00a0The students will be competing on Saturday, March 27\u00a0to determine which teams will be advancing to the semifinal round on Sunday, March 28 at noon.<\/p>\n<p>The following teams will be competing in the quarterfinals:<\/p>\n<p>Zak Wroblewski &amp; Alexandra (Sasha) Chepov<br \/>\nMorgan Minter &amp; Taylor Van Zeeland<br \/>\nAshleigh Dickey &amp; Matt Rademacher<br \/>\nCharlie Hoffmann &amp; Kevin Landgraf<br \/>\nThomas Sucevic &amp; Christopher Vandeventer<br \/>\nBen Edelstein &amp; Kyle Frank<br \/>\nLauren Brasington &amp; Carsyn Bushman<br \/>\nAlex Lux &amp; Natalie Mulvey<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to <a href=\"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/facultyblog\/2021\/01\/moot-court-association-names-participants-in-the-2021-jenkins-honors-moot-court-competition\/\">all the participants<\/a> in the competition.\u00a0We also very much appreciate the alumni and other attorneys who volunteer to grade briefs and serve as judges in the preliminary rounds.\u00a0We appreciate their time and assistance every year.<\/p>\n<p>This year, an extra special thanks to Erik Atwell and the law school tech department for their assistance with managing three simultaneous virtual courtrooms with up to 24 people at eight different times over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The final round of the <a href=\"https:\/\/law.marquette.edu\/programs-degrees\/jenkins-honors-intramural-moot-court-competition\">Jenkins<\/a> competition will take place on Tuesday, April 6 at 3:30 PM.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re honored to welcome the following distinguished jurists who will judge the final round:<\/p>\n<p>Hon. Cynthia M. Davis (L\u201906), Milwaukee County Circuit Court<br \/>\nHon. Michael Y. Scudder, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit<br \/>\nHon.
