Oneida-Vilas-Forest County Bar Association Scholarship

The Oneida-Vilas-Forest County Bar Association has announced it will award a scholarship this fall to an individual pursuing an education in law, according to Tom Lawrence of Minocqua, Chairman of the Association's scholarship committee.


"We have had outstanding candidates for this scholarship in past years and expect to see a number of highly qualified applicants again this year," said Lawrence. "It gives us great pleasure as an Association to help a young person from our area gain entry to our profession."


The scholarship will be awarded on a combination of past and potential academic performance, financial need, course of study and residence in or significant connections to Oneida, Vilas or Forest Counties. Applications must be received by Friday, November 1, 2019. The scholarship recipient is scheduled to be determined at the Association's November meeting and awarded at the January, 2020 meeting.

Out & Allies Nacho Fundraiser

Wednesday, October 16, 2019 - 12:00pm Zilber Forum

Out and Allies Legal Society will be selling nachos on Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Forum during the lunch hour (12:00 to 1:00 p.m.). The nachos will be LGBTQ-themed: L(ettuce), G(round), B(eef), T(omato), and Q(ueso), of course. But you can also build your own and pick which ingredients you would like. We will also be selling soda to quench your thirst after you chow down on these magnificent nachos! We will accept cash and Venmo.
