Every year, the Public Interest Law Society (PILS) raises money to fund summer public interest law practice experiences for students. Upwards of a dozen fellowships are awarded each year allowing students to work for public interest organizations that are traditionally unable to pay their student interns. Recent host sites have included the ACLU, Public Defenders' and District Attorneys' Offices, Catholic Charities Legal Services for Immigrants, End Abuse Wisconsin, and various other legal aid programs in Wisconsin and beyond. Attend this informational session to consider whether a PILS fellowship is for you. Details of the application process will be discussed along with tips for securing a host site. A panel of former fellows will share their experiences. Bring your own lunch. Please register to attend.
