Sports Law Speaker Series & SSP for All: Jason Wied (L'99), former Vice President of Administration, Green Bay Packers

On Thursday, February 13, 2020, the Sports Law Speaker Series and SSP for All are pleased to present a conversation with attorney Jason Wied, class of 1999, former Vice President of Administration for the Green Bay Packers, and now chief operating officer and general counsel, Hilbert Communications LLC and Bugtussel Wireless LLC. Attorney Wied is also a member of the Sports Law Alumni Association, the National Sports Law Institute's Board of Advisors, and an advocate for addiction recovery services.  

Attorney Wied will discuss his work for the Packers, the trajectory of his life thus far in the law, the personal struggles that led to his departure from the team, and his successful transition to private practice and in-house positions. Overall, the event will focus on why “success” does not always look the way we imagine it will. Led by Sports Law Program Director Professor Paul Anderson and Assistant Dean of Students Professor Anna Fodor, the discussion will take place in room 433 starting at 12 p.m. Lunch will be provided to all who attend.
