Date

Our first event this semester will be our intro meeting next Friday (September 25th) at 12:10pm and will feature Daniel Suhr, a former law clerk to 7th Circuit Judge Diane Sykes. Daniel has held a variety of positions in state government during former Governor Scott Walker's administration and currently works as a constitutional litigator for a conservative public interest law firm. Many of you are familiar with Daniel as he is a ubiquitous presence in the conservative legal community in the state. He will present a brief overview of the Federalist Society and discuss the benefits that come from considering yourself a member of the premier conservative legal network in the country. Daniel has been active in many of the lawsuits surrounding the government's (whether from the state or local level) response to COVID-19 and how these responses infringe on some of our constitutional rights so I will be asking him to briefly talk about those issues as well. The event will be held over Zoom and a link to the event will be emailed out prior to the programming. We will also discuss 1L openings on our Exec. Board as well as introduce the current board for this year. To sign up to attend and receive the Zoom link please fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/xqxVL6pVyuGpYeoL7.
