Let's face it, when it comes to printing, faxing, phones, and the array of software applications we juggle on a daily basis, there is bound to be questions. These are some of the answers to common questions we get in the building.

  1. How do I check a shared voicemail box?
    • Use Outlook Web App (OWA)
    • Log into your personal mailbox in the normal manner.
    • Click on the down arrow next to your display name in the upper right corner of the web browser frame and click Open Other Mailbox.
    • Enter The name of the shared voicemail box.
    • The shared mailbox will open in the browser window and can then be used just as you would use your personal account. Or dial 288-7432 then enter the voicemail number and pin. This can get tricky because the voicemail number is not always the extension.

  2. How can I make a PDF?
    • Open the desired Office document.
    • Go to the Ribbon, click File, and select Share.
    • Click Create PDF/XPS Document.
    • In the far right pane, click the Create a PDF/XPS button.
    • Browse to the desired location. Input the desired file name. Make sure that the Save as type dropdown is set to PDF.
      Select either the Standard (publishing online and printing) or the Minimum size (publishing online) radio button.
      Click the Publish button.

    • Faxes are received by Marquete's fax server and can be routed to one of the following destinations:

      An individual's e-mail address
      A distribution list
      A SharePoint document library
      From here the fax can be e-mailed to other recipients.
