Take an hour break from studying and find out how to make a positive impression on legal employers while working and/or volunteering this summer!

Noon – 1:15 p.m.
Eckstein Hall, Room 263

You are invited to join the Career Planning Center staff and a panel of students, on Thursday, April 20th for a discussion about how to make your summer legal experience a success.

Some of the topics that will be addressed include:

  • Work assignments: Expectations for quality and quantity
  • Questions: What to always ask and never ask of assigning attorneys
  • Electronic etiquette: Using employer email accounts and voice message accounts
  • Office social functions: Do you need to attend? Is it okay to bring a significant other?
  • Building relationships: In-office networking
  • End-of-summer goals: Walking away with writing samples, references, and offers when possible
