I noticed this interesting use of keyword advertising on Gmail the other day: I went into my spam folder to see if an email I was expecting went in there by mistake. When I came back out, I noticed the following ad (placed by recipesource.com) on top of my inbox:
I don’t know that I’ve seen that leading my inbox before, but the recipes involving spam are ALWAYS on the top bar there when you go to your spam folder on the web interface. I actually love it; I’m not courageous enough to try any of those recipes, but I did print out the spam matzoh balls recipe at one point 🙂
