Updates to Fall 2025 Class Meeting Times
There have been adjustments to class times for the fall 2025 semester schedule. None of the adjustments create any new class conflicts, and, at most, ten minutes have been added to a class’s meeting time.
Although the adjustments are minor, it is important that all students carefully review their updated schedule to ensure that you are aware of any changes that may affect your weekly schedule. Please note that, besides meeting times, there are no other changes to the fall schedule.
The revised schedule is now available in CheckMarq and is posted on the Law School’s Registration Materials webpage, which you must be signed in to access. After clicking on the fall class schedule link, we recommend refreshing your browser to see the updated schedule.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your fall schedule, please contact Registrar Toerpe Mason.

Before ordering a digital textbook for a course, please first check with your professor's syllabus, course page, or communications to ensure that an e-book is permitted for the course. Again, if you would like to order an e-book for your classes, please first confirm that your professor permits the use of a digital text in the class. Many professors will explicitly prohibit the use of an e-book, as some e-books cannot be accessed during open-book exams.
Specific textbook information is available through the Book Marq, Marquette University's official bookstore.
- When entering your courses in the Book Store's search function, please select "Law Fall 2025" as the correct term.
- You can locate your course and section numbers by signing in to CheckMarq and reviewing your fall 2025 course schedule.
- Please note your specific course section as textbooks for the same course will vary across sections.
- If purchasing textbooks through vendors other than the Book Marq, please also pay close attention to the edition of the text required by your specific professor. The ISBN number should correlate with the correct edition.
All students are expected to have their textbooks in advance of the start of the semester so they can complete first-day reading assignments. If a textbook is sold out at the bookstore, please contact your professor to make alternative arrangements.

First-day assignments for each course will be posted by faculty on the corresponding course page throughout August. Please note that course pages are updated on a regular basis. If there is no assignment listed when you initially check the site, be sure to check the course page periodically. We recommend refreshing your browser each time you check the page.
To access your course pages:
- Go to the Law School website at http://law.marquette.edu.
- Sign into the site (upper-right-hand corner) with your Marquette username and password.
- On your personal profile page, you should be able to see links to the course pages for those courses in which you are enrolled.
- Make sure you are in the correct section to view the course page with class assignment information listed.
For an alternative navigation:
- Hover over the "Current Students" tab at the top of the homepage. Click "Academics."
- Scroll down to the "Curriculum" column and click on "Course Directory" (you must be signed in to the website to view this page).
- Note that you can view the courses either alphabetically by course title or numerically by course number.
- Scroll through the list of courses to find the courses/sections for which you are registered. Please pay close attention to the section for which you are registered in CheckMarq, not just the course itself. Assignments will vary across sections.
- Click the course title to access the course page.
Early Access Electronic Textbooks
Students in courses utilizing textbooks from Aspen Publishing or West Academic have the option of accessing e-book versions of their textbooks for the first two weeks of classes. Please note, some professors--including some listed below--do not allow students to utilize digital textbooks in their classrooms. For those professors' courses, please only utilize this early online access as a supplement to, rather than a replacement for, owning the hard-copy text. To learn more about professors' e-book policies, review this linked Law News post and check each professor's syllabus.
