Reminders for Using Registration Waitlists
Registration will begin tomorrow, November 11. As a reminder, when a class is full, adding yourself to the waitlist will allow you to potentially be added to the class should space become available. Follow these steps to add yourself to the waitlist successfully and avoid being skipped:
Accessing the waitlist form.
- At your assigned registration appointment time, if a desired course is full, you can add your name to the Law School’s registration waitlist by visiting the Registration Materials webpage of the Law School’s website and clicking on the appropriate semester’s waitlist form button.
- You may only fill out this form after your registration time has started. Submissions made prior to your appointment time will be deleted.
Editing your waitlist form after submission.
- To later edit your waitlist request after submission, you must click the “Save my response to edit” button that appears on your browser screen immediately following submission. We STRONGLY recommend that every student select this option each time you submit a waitlist form to preserve the ability to edit your form in the future.
- Clicking this button will allow you to update your selections as seats become available and your schedule or interests shift.
Waitlists will be processed weekly.
- It is important that, as needed, you view and edit all your waitlist forms to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date. The information you provide will be used to move your classes should a seat in a waitlisted course open up for you. You will be notified once you have been added to a course.
- If you receive an email indicating that there is an issue with your request, you must respond to the email within 48 business hours to resolve the enrollment issue. If you do not respond, the class seat will be offered to the next student on the waitlist, but you will not lose your spot on the waitlist.
- Do not reach out to faculty to be added to a course prior to the start of the semester. Faculty will have discretion to add students to their classes once the semester begins and waitlists are cleared. Prior to that, students MUST be added in order of the waitlist.
- If you no longer wish to be on a class waitlist, please be sure to delete your request to avoid unwanted changes to your schedule.
Viewing your waitlist position. After registration, you will receive periodic emails that indicate where you are on each waitlist and what, if any, movement has occurred on the waitlist.
