The use of “Flock cameras” in communities around the state has been in the news recently. What are they? How have they become a law enforcement tool used in both large and small towns and cities in Wisconsin? With an estimated 2,000 cameras in the state, what legal issues should be considered in the usage of such technology?

Lubar Center Director Derek Mosley will be joined by the following panelists to examine these questions: 

• Melinda Brennan, executive director, American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin;
• Heather Hough, chief of staff, Milwaukee Police Department; and
• Jim Olson, police chief in DeForest, Wisconsin, and 1st vice president, Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association.
