Paczki Day
The Office of Student Affairs invites you to join us this coming Tuesday to partake in a regional tradition: Pączki!
For those who may not know, pączki (POONCH-kee) are Polish deep-fried, filled doughnuts that are traditionally served on the eve of Lent. They are a local Milwaukee* treat, and we invite you to pick one up to kick off your (Fat) Tuesday.
Pączki will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. (or until they are all gone). Swing by the second floor on Tuesday to say hi to the Student Affairs team and pick up a pączki!
Made by Grebe's Bakery, four filling varieties will be available:
- Custard
- Lemon
- Prune (we will have a limited number of these, for the traditionalists)
- Raspberry
*As Assistant Director DiStefano knowingly points out, pączki are also popular in other midwestern cities with large Polish immigrant populations, such as Detroit.
