January's Pro Bono Student of the Month
We are proud to recognize Andrea Bishop as our Pro Bono Student of the Month for January! Andrea’s extraordinary commitment exemplifies the very best of Marquette Law School’s pro bono tradition.
Since her first semester, Andrea has made pro bono work a central part of her legal education. She has already completed 264 hours of service—the most of any current Marquette law student—and continues working toward her personal goal of 300 hours by graduation. Her work has included the MJC Family Law Forms clinic, the domestic violence VALT project, Wills for Heroes, various MVLCs, and special citizenship clinics. Andrea has had a particularly powerful impact through her work with Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Eviction Defense Project, where she brings skill, compassion, and professionalism to tenants facing housing instability. Her dedication to clients in crisis reflects both excellence and compassion.
Andrea’s service is an inspiration to our entire community. Congratulations, Andrea—and thank you for showing us what pro bono leadership looks like.
