Candlelight Vigil with ACS and RBG Society

We will be honoring the Minnesota community and those affected by the lives lost due to the senseless violence in that state, others, and those lost in custody nationwide. Father Romano will provide a prayer alongside secular tributes, and we’ll recite the names of the lives lost. If any faculty or students would like to speak, they are welcome to reach out.

Presented by ACS and RBG Society, all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Sign-up for Marquette Law School's 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off

Does your family have the best chili recipe? Are you a next-level chef? Do you want free Barrister’s tickets? If this sounds like you, then it is time to accept the challenge and participate in SBA’s 3rd Annual Chili Cookoff!

This year, the cookoff will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 4:45 p.m. in the Forum. The winner of the cookoff will receive two Barrister’s tickets and… drumroll please… your name on a plaque! This of course is known to be one of the greatest honors. If chili is not your vibe, we also need people to sign up to bring cornbread!

Faculty and staff, you are welcome and are encouraged, to challenge the students and show them who the chili boss is!

SBA's Winter Variety Show

Hello, everyone! Looking for a getaway? Seeking community in a space not polluted by the hot steam emerging out of the ears of your overworked classmates?

Join us at the First Annual Winter Variety Show! 

The event will take place here from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. in room 433. No tickets required!

SBA is pleased to announce that there should be seven different acts in our showcase, including performances of live art, muscial theater, live music, and comedy.

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., and complimentary popcorn and refreshments will be provided.

The show will be hosted by SBA's own Max Bado and Joanna Franco. Audience participation strongly encouraged!

SBA's National Marquette Day Tailgate

Saturday, February 7, 2026 - 10:00am Pilot Project Brewing (1128 N 9th St, Milwaukee, WI 53233)

Come celebrate National Marquette Day with the Student Bar Association. SBA has reserved space at Pilot Project Brewing from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 7. 

This is a free event for law students (and plus ones). There will be some appetizers available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The game (starting at 1 p.m.) will be played for any one who does not have a ticket to the game but still wants to celebrate National Marquette Day with their classmates. 

Drinks and food are available for purchase. We hope to see you there!

TLA Presents: Milwaukee Tax Club Lunch

The Tax Law Association is excited to announce our first event of the semester, hosted in collaboration with the Milwaukee Tax Club.

Students are invited to attend the Milwaukee Tax Club’s monthly lunch meeting, which will feature a guest speaker discussing a tax issue relevant to the greater Milwaukee area. This event provides a valuable opportunity to network with tax attorneys and other tax professionals in the Milwaukee community.

A group will be walking to the Wisconsin Club together, departing around 11:35/11:40 a.m. Those with classes that run later are welcome to meet the group at the venue.

Lunch will be provided, though menu options are limited. Please plan accordingly if you have dietary restrictions.
