Marquette Sports Law Review Summer 2026 Writing Competition

Registration for the Marquette Sports Law Review's summer membership writing competition is now open. Any Marquette University Law School student who, at the start of the first summer 2026 session, is a second-year law student in residence according to Marquette University standards and is in good academic standing (e.g., 2.0 cumulative GPA after the completion of at least 27 credits), is eligible to become a member of the Marquette Sports Law Review for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Students interested in participating in the summer competition can register by clicking here by Thursday, April 23. Registration alone does not commit any student to participating in the competition, it merely adds you to a group of students who will receive the competition from the editorial board after finals. Membership on the Sports Law Review is a requirement for the Sports Law Certificate.

In addition, only Certificate candidates who have competed in the summer competition are eligible for most Sports Law Certificate program internships. Students are also encouraged to attend the editorial board's meeting on Wednesday, April 1, to learn more about the summer competition (register for the meeting here).
