Sports Law Speaker Series: Tony Agnone, NFL agent, Eastern Athletic Services
On Wednesday, April 15, the final Sports Law Speaker Series event of the academic year will feature a discussion with Anthony Agnone, founder of Eastern Athletic Services Professional Athlete Representation. Tony founded Eastern Athletic Services (EAS), a full-service agency that would represent professional athletes, Coaches and broadcasters. Today Tony continues that tradition devoting his time to this pursuit. Since founding the company, EAS has represented football players that have ranged from free agents to first round draft picks including Pro Bowlers and several Hall of Famers. EAS has represented Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches in the NFL and NCAA. With over 35 years of experience negotiating contracts Tony and EAS are one of the most respected firms in the football industry, having negotiated precedent setting contracts.
Tony is a former President of the Sports Lawyers Association and is on their Board of Directors. He is also a former Board of Trustees member at Mount St. Mary's University. In addition, Tony is a sought-after lecturer at various professional seminars, law and business schools. And over the last two decades Tony has been an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has also served as an expert witness in several cases concerning wrongful terminations and player injuries. For his work in the community and at his alma maters Tony has been honored with community service awards and the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Mount St. Mary's Presidential Medal.
