SBA's First Apparel Pop-up Shop

For those looking for some of your first Marquette Law gear, look no further than the Summer Pop-up Shop of the year! Place all orders through the link here by Monday, September 14, before the shop closes. 

There will be another shop available in late fall with new items and designs for those who may want some of their first items or may have missed out on ordering through last year's shop.

Sports Law Society Intro Meeting

The Marquette Sports Law Society invites all students to attend our introductory meeting as we begin the 2026–27 academic year. This session will provide an overview of the society’s role within the Sports Law Program and outline the opportunities available to students at every stage of their legal education.

During the meeting, attendees will: 

  • Receive a detailed explanation of the Sports Law Society’s mission and function
  • Meet the members of the executive board
  • Learn about membership dues, including their purpose and allocation
  • Hear about upcoming events and programming planned for the school year
  • Explore avenues for involvement as a 1L, 2L, or social media representative
  • Join our communication lists to stay informed throughout the year

Pizza will be provided for lunch! We look forward to welcoming new members, reconnecting with returning students, and embarking on a successful year for the Marquette Sports Law Society.

Business Law Society Social Hour

LCD Series - Influencing Others: Communications and Marketing

The next session of our Leadership and Character Development series is coming up! We will taking a holistic approach and discussing challenges and best practices when it comes to communication and marketing strategies.

Open to all upper-level students who currently hold a leadership position in a student organization, join this training session as part of our new Leadership and Character Developement (LCD) series. These monthly sessions will go over some specific topics pertinent to running a student organization (or holding any sort of leadership position more broadly).

RSOs that send at least one student to each session will receive an additional $100 allocation for the spring semester. Breakfast will be provided each session. Students who hold a leadership position in for-credit academic organizations are also more than welcome to attend; the funding incentive will just not apply.

Sports Law Program Peer-to-Peer Network: September Huddle

Tuesday, September 15, 2026 - 5:30pm • 433B

Our September huddle will introduce our co-chairs, along with our 2L and 3L leaders. After a brief introduction we will break into groups to allow 1Ls to briefly introduce themselves before diving into the topics for the evening. 

The first topic we will cover will be a broad overview of concerns 1Ls still have related to coursework. 

The next topic will delve into the Sports Law Program generally answering questions related to what the experience is like, what to expect and what you can do as a 1L. (We will not answer any questions which Prof. Anderson should be the only person to answer. We will be directing our fellow leaders to answer what their experience has been and to tell 1Ls to utilize 1L to explore everything they can, volunteer when opportunities arise, and attend all speaker events).

The final topic of the night will be related to how we managed stress and how law students can just be normal people outside of the law school and have a good work life balance.

SBA Presents: The 2nd Annual Suits & Scrubs Fall Mixer

Back by popular demand after last year’s launch, SBA invites you to the 2nd Annual Suits & Scrubs Mixer! 

Join SBA for a joint event with other graduate and professional students from the Marquette Dental program, Marquette Physician's Assistants (PA) program, and Medical College of Wisconsin.  

  • Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026 
  • Time: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (doors open at 7:00 p.m. and last entry will be at 8:00 p.m.) 
  • Location: Gather at Deer District, 333 W Juneau Ave Ste B, Milwaukee, WI 53203 
  • Ticket price: $38/ticket. Price includes 2 drink tickets (beer, wine, seltzer choices), unlimited soda and juice, and appetizers.
  • Recommended dress code is cocktail to semi-formal. 

Please purchase tickets here before noon on Friday, September 18. The form will open Monday, August 31, at 10:30 a.m. and there are a limited number of tickets and tickets may sell out well before that deadline.  

This event is exclusive to MULS, MUPA, MUSD, and MCW students; no guests or plus ones will be accommodated. Light appetizers will be provided.  

Tickets cannot be refunded. However, you will be able to transfer your ticket to another law student. Please make sure all ticket transfers are completed by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30 and reach out to your SBA representative to request a transfer.
