Sports Law Speaker Series: Sports Facility Practice

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, all students are invited to join a Sports Law Speaker Series event featuring two sports law attorneys from Husch Blackwell, Andrea Austin, class of 2012, and Kevin Kelley, both partners in the Denver office.  Andrea and Kevin both practice in the real estate and sports law areas, representing teams and communities putting together sports facilities.  Kevin was on the public side of the Fiserv Forum and Sacramento Kings’ arena deals.   Andrea and Kevin and the new lease for the Seattle Mariners, the new deal for the  Phoenix Suns, the Milwaukee Brewers’ spring training facilities, some soccer deals, and now working on some things at NRG Park in Houston, Texas and the Anaheim Angels new agreement. The firm was also recently selected to represent the City of Green Bay in its negotiations with the Packers on a new lease. The discussion will start at 12:15 pm in room 433.  Lunch will be available at 12 pm for all attendees.
