Eckstein Hall, home of Marquette University Law School, is located at 1215 W. Michigan St., Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233.

Complimentary guest parking is available in Eckstein Hall for those who have made prior arrangements to visit and those who have registered for an event.  The Eckstein Hall Parking Policy is described below.  Directions:

From the north on I-43

  • Exit 72E – 11th Street and Highland
  • At the top of the ramp, continue straight on 11th Street (one-way southbound)
  • 11th Street will shift left at Wells Street
  • Continue south on 11th Street, crossing Wisconsin Avenue
  • The entrance to Eckstein Hall parking is one-half block south on 11th Street; turn right and stop at the lot attendant booth.

From the South on I-43/I-94

  • Exit 72A – N. 10th Street and Michigan/Tory Hill
  • Continue north on 10th Street (one-way northbound) one block to next light at Wisconsin Avenue
  •  Turn left on Wisconsin Avenue, one block to next light at 11th Street
  • Stay in the second left lane to turn left onto 11th Street (one-way southbound)
  • The entrance to Eckstein Hall parking is one-half block south on 11th Street; turn right and stop at the lot attendant booth.

From the west on I-94

  • Exit 310A – 13th Street
  • Turn left (north) one-half block to Clybourn Street
  • Turn left onto Clybourn Street (13th Street ends at Clybourn)
  • West three blocks to 16th Street
  • Turn right on 16th Street (one-way northbound)
  • One block to Wisconsin Avenue
  • Right on Wisconsin Avenue to 11th Street (one-way southbound)
  • The entrance to Eckstein Hall parking is one-half block south on 11th Street; turn right and stop at the lot attendant booth.

 

By Bus

Both Greyhound and Badger Bus have pick-up at the train station.

Milwaukee Bus Station - Intermodal Bus and Amtrak, 433 West St Paul Avenue, Milwaukee, WI, 53203

Badger Bus will stop at the Intermodal (Amtrak and Greyhound Station) as the ONLY Downtown Milwaukee Stop. Bus will pickup and drop off at Gate 7. Tickets can be purchased ONLINE at least 1 hour prior to departure or you can pay the driver in EXACT change CASH at the bus. Passengers who purchase their ticket online will be guaranteed a seat as long as they are the Intermodal stop at least 10 minutes prior to departure.

By Rail

Amtrak's terminal is located at North 5th Street and St. Paul Avenue. Upon arrival in Milwaukee, you can take a private cab or walk four blocks north to West Wisconsin Avenue and board any westbound local bus to North 12th Street. Bus fare is $2.25.

By Air

General Mitchell International Airport serves Milwaukee and is about a 10-mile cab ride to campus.


Ray and Kay Eckstein Hall Parking Structure Policy

This Ray and Kay Eckstein Hall Parking Structure policy serves two purposes: (a) The first purpose is to facilitate the parking of members of the public participating in certain law school activities, and spaces therefore will be set aside on a daily basis according to the number and types of Law School events; and (b) beyond this, parking is available, as a secondary matter, on a first-come first-served basis, to Law School students and employees who have paid for University parking.

The Ray and Kay Eckstein Hall Parking Structure supports the activities of Eckstein Hall.

Visitor Parking Rates: $30 flat fee, Monday – Friday, located on 11th and Michigan level (7a on the campus map). $3 flat fee, Saturday – Sunday. Visitor parking fees are waived for some purposes (e.g., law admissions, employment interviewers) and some events. For more information, call (414) 288-7090.

Parking is free on the weekends (Saturday – Sunday) for Law School employees and students. A Marquette ID will allow these individuals to park without charge.

Parking levels open 45 minutes prior to the building open time and close 30 minutes prior to the building close time (link to building hours). Those parked in the building after parking closes can exit without issue within 15 minutes after the building close time. Individuals must be in Eckstein Hall prior to the building closing time in order to access the parking levels.

No overnight parking is permitted in Eckstein Hall.

Other visitor parking is available for $10 in the Wells Street Structure (on Wells Street between 12th and 13th streets).
