Please join us on March 7 as we continue the series at Marquette Law School’s Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education: “Get to Know.” Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center, will welcome Elise Dickens and Alison Prange, women instrumental in the planning and orchestration of the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
In July 2024, over 50,000 people will come to Milwaukee for the convention, creating an expected economic impact of $200 million in the area. Elise Dickens, chief executive officer of the convention, and Alison Prange, chief operating officer of the MKE 2024 Host Committee, will share how planning is coming along, what residents can expect, and why Wisconsin was an important choice as the convention location.
As Director Mosley has explained, the “Get to Know” series is intended to be “more late-night talk show than ‘Meet the Press.’” The program will begin promptly at 12:15 p.m. and last an hour. The program will include lunch, conversation, and community in Eckstein Hall.
