This orientation will teach you more about this fall's college sports negotiation competition as well as next spring's professional sports competition. All 2Ls pursuing the Sports Law Certificate are highly encouraged to attend to learn more about the Negotiation Competition Board, meet its leaders, and sign up to compete in this fall's competition. 2Ls who sign up should keep in mind that you are committing to both the fall and spring competitions, and without competing in them, you cannot be considered for national competitions in your 3L year.
1Ls pursuing the Sports Law Certificate are also encouraged to attend. 1Ls have the opportunity to volunteer as bailiffs to ensure the competition runs smoothly. Your time as a bailiff will give you a better understanding of the competition itself and will be seen favorably next year when you choose to compete yourself.
