Marquette Law School’s Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education is pleased to announce the “Native American Heritage Tasting Dinner.” Lubar Center Director Derek Mosley will explore the rich history of Native American food culture in American cuisine with special guests, including Marquette alumna Alana Yazzie (Navajo Nation) and Chef Mikiya Alloway (Potawatomi), as well as Chef Elena Terry (Ho-Chunk) and Chef Jessica Walks First (Menominee), who were featured as guest judges on Bravo’s “Top Chef: Wisconsin.” Come to socialize and learn while enjoying delectable dishes prepared by local chefs. Meet someone, learn something, try everything.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, at Prairie Springs on Park, 1420 East Park Place, Milwaukee. There is a $40 cost associated with this event. While we strive to have a vegetarian option, we are unable to accommodate individual dietary restrictions.
