The 2026 Hallows Lecture will be given by Thomas W. Merrill, Charles, Evans Hughes Professor of Law, Columbia Law School.

  • March 2, 2026
  • 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., lecture, immediately followed by a public reception.
  • Marquette University Law School – Eckstein Hall, Lubar Center
  • 1 CLE credit

Registration will be complimentary and will start in January.

This annual lecture remembers E. Harold Hallows, a Milwaukee lawyer and a faculty member at Marquette Law School from 1930 to 1958 and a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court from 1958 to 1974 (chief justice the last six years).
