Professor David Strifling, Director of the Water Law and Policy Initiative, will discuss water law controversies at the state and federal level. The presentation will cover recent developments involving PFAS regulation, the revised “Waters of the United States” rule, groundwater regulation under the Clean Water Act, and the recent challenge to the Racine diversion approval under the Great Lakes Compact. Professor Strifling will also discuss his recent research into Wisconsin’s public trust doctrine as well as an ongoing interdisciplinary research project related to real-time control of stormwater infrastructure.
