Deborah Collins

Dr. Collins is a graduate of St. Norbert College (BA '87), Boston College (MA '92) and the University of Hartford, Hartford, CT (MA '95). In 1998, she also completed a doctoral program in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford. Since 1999, her practice has focused almost exclusively on the area of forensic psychology—the intersection of mental health issues and the law. She routinely consults with attorneys, courts and related agencies regarding issues such as competency to proceed, mental responsibility, sentencing, Miranda issues, violence risk assessment, fitness for duty, forensic report writing and juvenile forensic evaluations. She routinely presents professionally on these and related issues in Wisconsin and beyond, including on behalf of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology and at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology where she is an adjunct professor.

Dr. Collins is licensed as a psychologist in Wisconsin and Michigan. She is board-certified as a forensic psychologist by the American Board of Professional Psychology, a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology, and past Board Member of the American Board of Forensic Psychology. She is the sole owner of Behavioral Consultants, Inc. and the Director of the Wisconsin Forensic Unit.
