Assistant Dean for Career Planning

Biography

Erin Binns, J.D., is enjoying over 20 years of service in the Career Planning Center of Marquette University Law School. Asst. Dean Binns' work includes educating and coaching students and alumni in their career search strategies, network building, and overall professional formation. She facilitates the job searches and the professional development of students and alumni through individual meetings, large-group presentations, and written communications. Additionally, Asst. Dean Binns is committed to establishing relationships with employers for the purpose of expanding opportunities for students and graduates. 

Asst. Dean Binns has a decade-long history of researching and authoring columns for the ABA's Student Lawyer publication.

Prior to joining Marquette, Asst. Dean Binns was an associate with the commercial litigation team at the law firm of Quarles & Brady, LLP.  Asst. Dean Binns graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School. While in law school, she served as a teaching assistant for UW's legal analysis, writing and research program. Before transitioning to a career in the law, Dir. Binns was a high school English teacher.
